First of all, the foundry or supplier sends the detailed drawings and all requirements, and reminds them to focus on the main aspects of the technical requirements including: unit weight (machined or rough), dimensional tolerances of the blank castings and the finished part of the unit weight (machined or rough), the material requirements such as strength and hardness, surface coating requirements, and special heat treatment requirements.
Secondly, the price fluctuation factor. The price of OEM metal castings is mainly affected by pig iron prices and exchange rates. Under normal circumstances, if the exchange rate fluctuates more than 3%, the foundry will require price adjustment, if the pig iron price fluctuation exceeds 300 yuan/ton (or called $45 / ton), then the foundry also needs to adjust the price. Of course, if the pig iron price has been greatly reduced or the exchange rate has increased, the buyer should also reduce the casting price with the casting enterprise.
